Aotearoa-New Zealand

To Tatou Kaupapa – Our Purpose
“Inspired by the story of Edmund Rice
and committed to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi,
Te Rōpū Kaitiaki o Erama Raihi – Edmund Rice Justice Trust
engages in a range of initiatives and programmes focused on current ethical and justice concerns.
The Trust is committed to the restoring and building of right relationships and enabling opportunities for community and cross-cultural engagement.”

How We Do This

  • Facilitating projects that will work with individuals and families in the community who the Trust identify as being on the margins of society, by assisting those individuals and families in a supportive and advocacy role.
  • Providing education and resources regarding social issues that impact on Aotearoa-New Zealand and international communities.
  • Providing seminars that are open to the community. The purpose of these seminars is to promote greater understanding of the social issues that impact our communities and to assist the community in the identification of ways to address these issues.
  • Undertaking research into social issues and utilising that research to facilitate community education. This research may also be provided to other organisations and government departments that would benefit from the research undertaken by the Trust.

Our Desire
An inclusive and equitable bi-cultural Aotearoa New Zealand.
