 EDMUND RICE COMMUNITIES

There are two Edmund Rice Communities in New Zealand - one in Auckland (North Island) and another in Westport (South Island). An Edmund Rice Community is a community that may consist of Brothers and non Brothers, men and women. The setting up of an Edmund Rice Community is approved by the New Zealand Christian Brothers' Province Leadership Team. They have a reasonable level of autonomy as the community determines membership and how the community operates.

The ER Community in Auckland consists mainly of tertiary students and young people.
